Description The Puritan Audio Labs PSM136 is a six way mains purifier with precision symmetrically balanced circuitry and 39 finely tuned filter elements. Your listening will become a far more engaging and pleasurable experience. DC Blocking Have you ever experienced a mechanical hum from the transformer in your amplifier or power supply? Sometimes the hum is caused by a bad transformer. Most of the time it is caused by DC current contaminating the AC supply. This problem is becoming more and more common, in large part due to the widespread adoption of LED lighting. The toroidal transformers used in hi-fi components are particularly susceptible to this problem. Puritan Audio Lab’s DC blocking technology completely eliminates this hum by removing the DC contamination. Optional Facedown Converter Plate The Puritan Audio Labs PSM136 comes as standard with four rubber feet for horizontal placement. The optional facedown converter plate allows the PSM136 mains purifier to be mounted vertically, with the sockets facing upwards. The facedown converter plate replaces the standard front fascia with outriggers and vibration-damping isolation feet. It is a great option if you would like to place your PSM136 behind your hi-fi rack or other furniture.
