Avoid Parallel Lines Parallel lines on rectangular shelves encourage resonance which can distort sound. Where possible, Quadraspire avoids parallel lines in the same way as most musical instrument designs. Intricate Machining The shelves on Quadraspire racks are machined to reduce any resonance, lowering the noise floor and opening the sound stage whilst also improving sound quality and performance. The edges on all shelves are chamfered to help dissipate energy and help improve sound. Materials Quadraspire uses aluminium to manufacture all of its columns and feet. Aluminium has much less resonance than the steel tubing used in many competing products. Some shelf materials like glass can resonate and distort the sound of your system. After extensive testing of many different materials, Quadraspire uses bamboo ply which suppresses vibrations and is also carbon neutral and sustainable. Choose Floor Spikes, Flat Feet or Castors The base shelves of Quadraspire Q4 Evo racks are fitted with floor spikes as standard, but are available with a range of alternative feet options. Choose between floor spikes, flat feet and castors to best fit your requirements. Floor Spikes These adjustable floor spikes provide excellent isolation and easy levelling. Partner with floor protectors for use on hard floors. Flat Feet These flat feet have a hard rubber sole. They are great alternative to spikes and floor protectors for hard floors. Castors These high-quality castors make it easy to move your rack from one place to another. Locking Castors Just like the regular castors, but with the addition of a locking mechanism to prevent unwanted movement. Bronze Upgrades It is no coincidence that a lot of musical instruments use brass and bronze. Quadraspire’s research determined that bronze and brass are good materials for reducing resonance, so they developed a bronze upgrade for all of their racks. Bronze upgrade The shelf with bronze upgrade is designed to sit directly on top of an existing top shelf, providing improved isolation.
