Description The Edwards Audio TT5 SC turntable’s plinth features the same constrained layer damping technology as the award-winning TT4 turntable, but with an additional “sandwich” for even more efficient dissipation of fractional vibrations and noise. It delivers stunning sound quality for an affordable price. The TT5 features an in-house designed TALK A5 captive uni-pivot tonearm with VTA adjustment. The TALK A5 tonearm utilises a 12 mm “pultruded” carbon fibre armtube, which is terminated with a fully machined red anodised headshell mount. The TT5 is supplied as standard with a custom TALK 24 V motor and an external SC5 DSP-based speed controller. This allows easy speed change and micro adjustment of the actual rotational speed of the turntable. This allows for the pitch to be adjusted if required and also improves pitch stability. As with all Edwards Audio products, the TT5 is proudly designed, manufactured and hand built in their new Royal Wootton Bassett factory in Wiltshire, UK.
